While lash extensions look amazing, the result is achieved through a lot of effort and skill. What are Eyelash Extensions?

The Different Types of Eyelash Extensions

1. CLASSIC EYELASH EXTENSIONS

Classic lash extensions are simple, beautiful, natural-looking eyelash extensions, and a go-to choice for minimalists. They are applied on a 1:1 ratio, which means one extension is attached to one natural lash. This allows you to achieve a natural enhancement. These extensions also cause less damage to the natural lashes as they are lighter. A classic can range between 0.1mm – 0.15mm, this would mean you can achieve an open eye effect without added discomfort. They can also be applied with volume eyelash extension to give it a hybrid look. The placement of lashes will depend on the natural eyelash extension conditions and shape and can be placed to the sides, top, or bottom of the natural lashes.

How Long Do Classic Extensions Last?

Ideally, classic eyelash extensions will last the full length of your natural lashes’ cycle, which is about 4 to 6 weeks long. However, rubbing these extensions or with excessive contact with water can cause them to fall off early,

3. VOLUME EYELASH EXTENSIONS

Volume lashes are the art of fanning and picking up multiple lightweight extensions at a time. They are applied on a 1:2-6 ratio, which means the extension is attached to anywhere from 2 to 6 on a single lash. Volume extensions are made from synthetic fibers, which are ultra-thin and gives them smooth look and feel. How Long Do Volume Lash Extensions Last?

Ideally, sivote lashes would last more than your natural lashes’ life cycle which is 4- 6 weeks. However, not caring for these regularly may cause them to fall out prematurely. Normally, you would require a refill every 2-3 weeks to maintain the full voluminous look.

How to Take Care of Your New Lash Extensions

Avoid oil-containing makeup removers. Never rub your lashes, and always pat them dry after washing your face. Avoid washing your face at all on the face day after application. For the next two days, avoid swimming, saunas, and other places or activities that require prolonged contact with water. Hot water is also something you should avoid as it can cause the glue to melt off. Finally, never use waterproof mascara on your extensions. Waterproof mascara will cause buildup on the lashes, which will lead to clumping, and finally force the lashes to come off.
